Did you know that a shady cabal, aligned with the Koch brothers, are working to bypass congress to make changes to the U.S. Constitution? Sounds like a far-fetched idea, right? The truth is, it’s close to becoming reality. All our civil rights and constitutional protections could be up for grabs if these radical groups are unchallenged as they work in darkness to invoke Article V of the Constitution. Under Article V, a constitutional convention can be called if 34 states demand it. Since 2014, radical right-wing, well-funded fringe groups have helped persuade republican lawmakers in 15 states to pass resolutions that call for a new constitutional convention. The intent of these unelected, billionaire interlopers is to use their wealth to steal the voting power of the American people to enact their own radical right-wing oligarchy as their preferred form of government rule.

These same groups have assembled a powerful, private, and political apparatus syphoning hundreds of millions of unreported dollars to impact specific elections and legislation in over 30 states and in the halls of Congress to push the agenda to end, impair, and dissolve representative democracy in America as we know it.

Funded by their dark money, partisan state legislatures have been compromised. They are actively targeting our voting rights to bring their plans to fruition by seizing control over election administration, taking it away from trusted local elections officials.

In fact, in 2021 alone, at least 262 bills have been introduced in 41 states that would interfere with election administration — and 32 of these bills have become law across 17 states. Nearly 2000 bills have been discovered to impact our access to fair elections.

This is why we must take action to reaffirm our commitment to democracy by rejecting radical, right-wing election denier candidates and fighting back on attacks on our rights by anti-democratic political leaders in power and the problematic laws they praise.
